West Virginia High School Volleyball - Wirt County over Nicholas County

Fans at Saturday's non-league contest between the Wirt County Tigers (Elizabeth, WV) and the visiting Nicholas County Grizzlies (Summersville, WV), observed Wirt County's volleyball team top Nicholas County by a count of 2-0.

The Tigers (5-6) will now prepare for their contest against Woodrow Wilson (Beckley, WV). The Flying Eagles enter the non-league contest with a 15-3 record. In their last contest, Woodrow Wilson notched a victory over Oak Hill (Oak Hill, WV), 2-0, in a non-league contest.

Next, the Grizzlies battle the Jefferson Cougars (Shenandoah Junction, WV) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, September 21. Nicholas County will attempt to move on its 8-12 season record. The Cougars enter the contest with a 4-9 record after their 3-2 league loss to Martinsburg (Martinsburg, WV).
