Illinois High School Volleyball - Wilmington can't get by Pontiac

Pontiac Indians (Pontiac, IL) boosters left the game satisfied Saturday as they saw their volleyball squad edge the visiting Wilmington Wildcats (Wilmington, IL), 2-1 in a non-league test.

With the win, Pontiac improves its record to 8-7 on the season. The Indians travel to Manteno (Manteno, IL) to face the Panthers in a non-league test on Saturday, September 21. The Panthers go into the test with a record of 6-5. Manteno lost 2-1 in their recent league test against Streator (Streator, IL)

The Wildcats now own a 10-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Coal City for a Illinois Central Eight test on Saturday, September 21. Wilmington will face a Coalers squad coming off a 2-0 league win over Herscher (Herscher, IL). The Coalers record now stands at 9-7.
