In Saturday's non-league challenge, the host Republic County Buffaloes volleyball team scored a 2-0 triumph over the Riverside [Wathena/Elwood] Cyclones.

The Buffaloes (4-12) will now prepare for their challenge against Hanover (Hanover, KS). The Wildcats come into the non-league challenge with a 12-0 record. In their last challenge, Hanover beat Blue Valley (Randolph, KS), 2-0, in a league challenge.

Next, the Cyclones meet the Atchison County Tigers (Effingham, KS) in a Northeast Kansas League challenge, on Tuesday, September 24. Riverside [Wathena/Elwood] will attempt to upgrade on its 1-8 season record. The Tigers come into the challenge with a 1-12 record after their 2-0 league loss to Jackson Heights (Holton, KS).
