West Carter Comets (Olive Hill, KY) supporters were pleased Thursday as they observed their soccer team knock off the visiting Spring Valley Timberwolves (Huntington, WV), 2-0 in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Comets confront the East Carter Raiders (Grayson, KY) in a District 62 challenge, on Monday, September 26. West Carter will attempt to move on its 6-4 season record.

The Timberwolves now possess a 4-7 record. They take the field next when they travel to South Charleston for a Mountain State challenge on Saturday, September 24. Spring Valley will confront a Black Eagles team coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to Hoover (Clendenin, WV). The Black Eagles record now stands at 5-7.
