Nebraska High School Softball - Boone Central/Newman Grove bounces Cuming County

Boone Central/Newman Grove Cardinals (Albion, NE) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the host Cuming County Cadets (West Point, NE), 15-6 in a non-league challenge.

The Cardinals now own a 9-12 record. They take the field next when they host Guardian Angels Central Catholic for a non-league challenge on Monday, September 26. Boone Central/Newman Grove will face a Bluejays squad coming off a 8-0 non-league loss to Yutan-Mead (Yutan, NE). The Bluejays record now stands at 12-7.

With the loss, Cuming County falls to 2-18 on the campaign. The Cadets travel to North Bend Central (North Bend, NE) to face the Tigers in a non-league challenge on Saturday, September 24. The Tigers enter the challenge with a record of 7-11. North Bend Central lost 15-7 in their recent non-league challenge against Aquinas (David City, NE)
