South Dakota High School Volleyball - Colome Avon

In Thursday's league battle, the host Avon Pirates volleyball team scored a 3-1 triumph over the Colome Cowboys.

The Pirates (4-9) will now prepare for their battle against Freeman Academy/Marion (Freeman, SD). The come into the non-league battle with a 0-13 record. In their last battle, Freeman Academy/Marion lost by Deubrook (White, SD), 3-0, in a non-league battle.

Next, the Cowboys clash with the Wessington Springs Spartans (Wessington Springs, SD) in a non-league battle, on Saturday, September 24. Colome will attempt to advance on its 5-6 season record. The Spartans come into the battle with a 8-3 record after their 3-0 non-league win over Lower Brule (Lower Brule, SD).
