The crowd at Thursday's non-league bout between the Leland Comets (Leland, MI) and the visiting St. Francis Gladiators (Traverse City, MI), saw Leland's volleyball squad beat St. Francis by a tally of 3-1.
With the win, Leland upgrades its record to 9-3 on the year. The Comets host Suttons Bay (Suttons Bay, MI) to play the Norsemen in a Northwest bout on Tuesday, September 27. The Norsemen go into the bout with a record of 0-1.
The Gladiators now own a 4-2 record. They play next when they travel to Boyne City for a Lake Michigan bout on Tuesday, September 27.
