Texas High School Football - Bowie smashes Sam Houston

September 22, 2023: Arlington, TX 76018

The Bowie Volunteers (Arlington, TX) football routed the visiting Sam Houston Texans (Arlington, TX), 56-6 in Friday's league bout.

In their next game, the Volunteers face the Grand Prairie Gophers (Grand Prairie, TX) in a 6A Region I District 8 bout, on Friday, September 29. Bowie will attempt to advance on its 3-2 season record. The Gophers enter the bout with a 0-5 record after their 43-16 league loss to Arlington (Arlington, TX).

The Texans (0-5) will now prepare for their bout against South Grand Prairie (Grand Prairie, TX). The Warriors enter the 6A Region I District 8 bout with a 0-5 record. In their last bout, South Grand Prairie was overwhelmed by Martin (Arlington, TX), 55-37, in a league bout.
