California High School Football - San Marcos can't get by Buena

September 22, 2023: Ventura, CA 93003

Buena Bulldogs (Ventura, CA) fans left the game content Friday as they saw their football team nip the visiting San Marcos Royals (Santa Barbara, CA), 11-7 in a league test.

With the triumph, Buena improves its record to 3-3 on the campaign. The Bulldogs travel to Oxnard (Oxnard, CA) to confront the Yellowjackets in a Channel test on Friday, September 29. The Yellowjackets come into the test with a record of 1-4. Oxnard lost 33-21 in their recent non-league test against Calabasas (Calabasas, CA)

With the loss, San Marcos drops to 2-4 on the campaign. The Royals host Ventura (Ventura, CA) to confront the Cougars in a Channel test on Friday, October 6. The Cougars come into the test with a record of 4-2.
