In Friday's league match, the visiting East Gaston Warriors football squad scored a big 62-14 victory over the Cherryville Ironmen.

In their next game, the Warriors clash with the Thomas Jefferson Gryphons (Mooresboro, NC) in a 1A/2A Southern Piedmont match, on Friday, September 29. East Gaston will attempt to move on its 5-0 season record. The Gryphons enter the match with a 1-5 record after their 75-8 league loss to Shelby (Shelby, NC).

The Ironmen (0-6) will now prepare for their match against Highland Tech (Gastonia, NC). The Rams enter the 1A/2A Southern Piedmont match with a 0-6 record.
