    • Tennessee High School Football - Chester County held off by South Gibson

    September 22, 2023: Medina, TN 38355

    In Friday's league game, the South Gibson Hornets (Medina, TN) football team got by the visiting Chester County Eagles (Henderson, TN), by a score of 35-28.

    The Hornets (4-2) will now prepare for their game against Dyer County (Newbern, TN). The Choctaws come into the non-league game with a 3-3 record. In their last game, Dyer County nipped Crockett County (Alamo, TN), 19-17, in a league game.

    The Eagles now sport a 1-5 record. They take the field next when they host Hardin County for a 4A Region 6 game on Friday, September 29. Chester County will battle a Tigers team coming off a 21-14 non-league win over PURE Academy (Memphis, TN). The Tigers record now stands at 6-0.
