The Union Christian Academy Lions football team (Farmerville, LA), was knocked off 36-8 in Friday's league challenge with the host Claiborne Academy Rebels (Haynesville, LA)

The Rebels (3-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Briarfield Academy (Lake Providence, LA). The Rebels come into the MAIS 8-Man 1A District 2 (8 Man) challenge with a 4-2 record. In their last challenge, Briarfield Academy was knocked off by Sharkey Issaquena Academy (Rolling Fork, MS), 64-46, in a league challenge.

The Lions now sport a 1-5 record. They take the field next when they host River Oaks for a MAIS 8-Man 1A District 2 (8 Man) challenge on Friday, September 29. Union Christian Academy will meet a Mustangs team coming off a 50-18 non-league loss to Riverdale Academy (Coushatta, LA). The Mustangs record now stands at 2-4.
