The Goldthwaite Eagles football team (Goldthwaite, TX), was knocked off 46-33 in Friday's league challenge with the visiting Coleman Bluecats (Coleman, TX)
The Bluecats (4-1) will now prepare for their challenge against San Saba (San Saba, TX). The Armadillos come into the 2A-1 Region II District 5 challenge with a 2-3 record. In their last challenge, San Saba knocked off Hamilton (Hamilton, TX), 32-28, in a league challenge.
The Eagles now sport a 2-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to De Leon for a 2A-1 Region II District 5 challenge on Friday, September 29. Goldthwaite will meet a Bearcats team coming off a 40-21 league win over Bangs (Bangs, TX). The Bearcats record now stands at 4-1.
