The Damonte Ranch Mustangs (Reno, NV) football edged the visiting Reno Huskies (Reno, NV), 16-12 in Friday's league bout.

In their next game, the Mustangs face the Spanish Springs Cougars (Sparks, NV) in a 5A Division II Northern bout, on Thursday, September 28. Damonte Ranch will attempt to advance on its 4-2 season record. The Cougars enter the bout with a 2-4 record after their 38-6 league loss to Bishop Manogue (Reno, NV).

The Huskies (3-3) will now prepare for their bout against Reed (Sparks, NV). The Raiders enter the 5A Division II Northern bout with a 5-1 record. In their last bout, Reed nudged McQueen (Reno, NV), 42-7, in a league bout.
