Texas High School Football - Winona topples Edgewood

The Winona Wildcats (Winona, TX) football defeated the visiting Edgewood Bulldogs (Edgewood, TX), 41-28 in Friday's league bout.

In their next game, the Wildcats face the Arp Tigers (Arp, TX) in a 3A-2 Region III District 9 bout, on Friday, September 29. Winona will attempt to advance on its 1-3 season record. The Tigers enter the bout with a 3-2 record after their 49-19 league loss to West Rusk (New London, TX).

The Bulldogs (2-3) will now prepare for their bout against Grand Saline (Grand Saline, TX). The Indians enter the 3A-2 Region III District 9 bout with a 3-2 record. In their last bout, Grand Saline defeated Quitman (Quitman, TX), 39-6, in a league bout.
