In Friday's league match, the visiting Poteau Pirates football squad scored a big 48-13 victory over the Fort Gibson Tigers.
In their next game, the Pirates clash with the Madill Wildcats (Madill, OK) in a 4A District 4 match, on Friday, September 29. Poteau will attempt to move on its 4-0 season record. The Wildcats enter the match with a 0-4 record after their 28-21 league loss to Broken Bow (Broken Bow, OK).
