In Friday's league match, the visiting Heartland Huskies football squad scored a close 18-12 victory over the Sutton Mustangs.

In their next game, the Huskies clash with the Superior Wildcats (Superior, NE) in a D1 District 8 (8 Man) match, on Friday, September 29. Heartland will attempt to move on its 2-3 season record. The Wildcats enter the match with a 0-5 record after their 70-0 league loss to Sandy Creek (Fairfield, NE).

The Mustangs (0-5) will now prepare for their match against McCool Junction (McCool Junction, NE). The Mustangs enter the D1 District 8 (8 Man) match with a 1-4 record. In their last match, McCool Junction was nudged by Ravenna (Ravenna, NE), 38-10, in a non-league match.
