The Heppner Mustangs football team (Heppner, OR), was beaten 20-6 in Friday's non-league challenge with the visiting Lost River Raiders (Merrill, OR)
The Raiders (4-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Myrtle Point (Myrtle Point, OR). The Bobcats come into the 1A Special District 1 (8 Man) challenge with a 4-0 record. In their last challenge, Myrtle Point achieved victory over Chiloquin (Chiloquin, OR), 74-6, in a league challenge.
The Mustangs now sport a 3-1 record. They take the field next when they host Irrigon for a 2A Special District 4 (9 Man) challenge on Friday, September 29. Heppner will meet a Knights team coming off a 28-20 non-league loss to Toledo (Toledo, OR). The Knights record now stands at 2-2.
