Texas High School Football - Montgomery drops to Huntsville

September 22, 2023: Huntsville, TX 77320

In Friday's league game, the Huntsville Hornets (Huntsville, TX) football team knocked off the visiting Montgomery Bears (Montgomery, TX), by a final score of 44-27.

The Hornets (2-3) will now prepare for their game against Lamar Consolidated (Rosenberg, TX). The Mustangs come into the 5A-2 Region III District 10 game with a 2-3 record. In their last game, Lamar Consolidated was dropped by Rudder (Bryan, TX), 40-13, in a league game.

The Bears now hold a 0-5 record. They take the field next when they host Lake Creek for a 5A-2 Region III District 10 challenge on Friday, September 29. Montgomery will meet a Lions team coming off a 59-34 league win over Randle (Richmond, TX). The Lions record now stands at 5-0.
