    • Texas High School Football - Shallowater knocks off Idalou

    September 22, 2023: Idalou, TX 79329

    The Shallowater Mustangs football squad scored 36 points and limited the host Idalou Wildcats to 15 in the Mustangs non-league win on Friday.

    The Mustangs now possess a 2-3 record. They play next when they host Pecos for a non-league battle on Friday, September 29. Shallowater will play a Eagles squad coming off a 56-13 non-league loss to Seminole (Seminole, TX). The Eagles record now stands at 2-2.

    Coming up next, the Wildcats play the Abernathy Antelopes (Abernathy, TX) in a 3A-2 Region I District 4 battle, on Friday, October 6. Idalou will attempt to advance on its 1-4 season record. The Antelopes go into the battle with a 2-3 record after their 47-0 non-league loss to Muleshoe (Muleshoe, TX).
