Pennsylvania High School Football - Pine Grove routed by Jim Thorpe

September 22, 2023: Jim Thorpe, PA 18229

In Friday's league game, the Jim Thorpe Olympians (Jim Thorpe, PA) football team smashed the visiting Pine Grove Cardinals (Pine Grove, PA), by a score of 47-7.

The Olympians (2-3) will now prepare for their game against Tamaqua (Tamaqua, PA). The Blue Raiders come into the Colonial-Schuylkill - Red game with a 1-4 record. In their last game, Tamaqua overwhelmed Salisbury Township (Allentown, PA), 49-18, in a league game.

The Cardinals now sport a 1-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Palmerton for a Colonial-Schuylkill - Red game on Friday, September 29. Pine Grove will battle a Blue Bombers team coming off a 41-26 league win over Notre Dame-Green Pond (Easton, PA). The Blue Bombers record now stands at 5-0.
