In Friday's non-league match, the visiting Kemper County Wildcats football squad scored a good 38-21 victory over the Northeast Lauderdale Trojans.
In their next game, the Wildcats clash with the McLaurin Tigers (Florence, MS) in a 3A Region 5 match, on Friday, September 29. Kemper County will attempt to move on its 3-2 season record. The Tigers enter the match with a 1-4 record after their 35-29 non-league loss to St. Andrew's Episcopal (Ridgeland, MS).
The Trojans (3-2) will now prepare for their match against Newton County (Decatur, MS). The Cougars enter the 4A Region 4 match with a 1-4 record. In their last match, Newton County was toppled by Kosciusko (Kosciusko, MS), 47-7, in a non-league match.
