The crowd at Friday's non-league contest between the Wink Wildcats (Wink, TX) and the host Lamesa Tornadoes (Lamesa, TX), observed Wink's football squad bounce Lamesa by a count of 62-6.

The Wildcats now own a 4-1 record. They play next when they travel to Eldorado for a 2A-2 Region II District 5 contest on Friday, September 29. Wink will encounter a Eagles squad coming off a 20-14 non-league win over San Saba (San Saba, TX). The Eagles record now stands at 3-1.

Coming up next, the Tornadoes encounter the McCamey Badgers (McCamey, TX) in a non-league contest, on Friday, September 29. Lamesa will attempt to upgrade on its 0-5 season record. The Badgers go into the contest with a 1-3 record after their 41-21 non-league loss to Forsan (Forsan, TX).
