The Sands Mustangs (Ackerly, TX) football defeated the visiting Loraine Bulldogs (Loraine, TX), 70-62 in Friday's non-league bout.

In their next game, the Mustangs face the Wellman-Union Wildcats (Wellman, TX) in a non-league bout, on Friday, September 29. Sands will attempt to move on its 3-2 season record. The Wildcats enter the bout with a 0-4 record after their 34-22 non-league loss to Hart (Hart, TX).
