New Mexico High School Football - Sandia overwhelms Manzano

The crowd at Friday's non-league contest between the Sandia Matadors (Albuquerque, NM) and the visiting Manzano Monarchs (Albuquerque, NM), observed Sandia's football squad bounce Manzano by a count of 35-0.

The Matadors now own a 4-1 record. They play next when they travel to West Mesa for a 6A District 2/5 contest on Saturday, September 30. Sandia will encounter a Mustangs squad coming off a 74-36 non-league win over Atrisco Heritage Academy (Albuquerque, NM). The Mustangs record now stands at 4-1.

Coming up next, the Monarchs encounter the Highland Hornets (Albuquerque, NM) in a non-league contest, on Friday, September 29. Manzano will attempt to upgrade on its 1-4 season record. The Hornets go into the contest with a 2-3 record after their 45-14 non-league win over Hope Christian (Albuquerque, NM).
