Texas High School Football - New Deal routs Vega

The New Deal Lions football squad scored 41 points and limited the host Vega Longhorns to 3 in the Lions non-league win on Friday.

The Lions now possess a 2-3 record. They play next when they host Tahoka for a 2A-1 Region I District 2 battle on Friday, October 6. New Deal will play a Bulldogs squad coming off a 42-36 non-league win over Ropes (Ropesville, TX). The Bulldogs record now stands at 2-3.

Coming up next, the Longhorns play the Olton Mustangs (Olton, TX) in a non-league battle, on Friday, September 29. Vega will attempt to advance on its 1-4 season record. The Mustangs go into the battle with a 3-1 record after their 26-20 non-league win over Bovina (Bovina, TX).
