Kentucky High School Football - Sayre smashes Nicholas County

September 22, 2023: Carlisle, KY 40311

The Sayre Spartans (Lexington, KY) football routed the host Nicholas County Bluejackets (Carlisle, KY), 47-2 in Friday's non-league bout.

In their next game, the Spartans face the Bourbon County Colonels (Paris, KY) in a non-league bout, on Friday, September 29. Sayre will attempt to move on its 5-0 season record. The Colonels enter the bout with a 0-4 record after their 35-12 non-league loss to Harrison County (Cynthiana, KY).

The Bluejackets (2-4) will now prepare for their bout against Fairview (Ashland, KY). The Eagles enter the 1A District 6 bout with a 1-5 record. In their last bout, Fairview was crushed by Powell County (Stanton, KY), 59-16, in a non-league bout.
