The Pike Central Chargers football team (Petersburg, IN), was beaten 41-13 in Friday's non-league challenge with the host Washington Hatchets (Washington, IN)

The Hatchets (2-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Gibson Southern (Fort Branch, IN). The Titans come into the Pocket - Big School challenge with a 4-2 record. In their last challenge, Gibson Southern achieved victory over Heritage Hills (Lincoln City, IN), 31-28, in a league challenge.

The Chargers now sport a 1-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Tell City for a Pocket - Small School challenge on Friday, September 29. Pike Central will meet a Marksmen team coming off a 47-14 league loss to Southridge (Huntingburg, IN). The Marksmen record now stands at 3-3.
