The West Monona Spartans football team (Onawa, IA), was ripped 40-0 in Friday's league challenge with the host Westwood Rebels (Sloan, IA)
The Rebels (2-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Logan-Magnolia (Logan, IA). The Panthers come into the A District 8 challenge with a 4-1 record. In their last challenge, Logan-Magnolia trounced Tri-Center (Neola, IA), 34-21, in a league challenge.
The Spartans now sport a 0-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Alta-Aurelia for a non-league challenge on Friday, September 29. West Monona will meet a Warriors team coming off a 44-27 league win over South O'Brien (Paullina, IA). The Warriors record now stands at 2-3.
