In Friday's non-league battle, the host Pagosa Springs Pirates volleyball team scored a tight 2-1 triumph over the Del Norte Tigers.
The Pirates (3-4) will now prepare for their battle against Montezuma-Cortez (Cortez, CO). The Panthers come into the battle with a 1-2 record. In their last battle, Montezuma-Cortez was edged by Centauri (La Jara, CO), 2-0, in a league battle.
