The crowd at Friday's league bout between the New Covenant Gryphons (Lynchburg, VA) and the host Virginia Episcopal School Bishops (Lynchburg, VA), saw New Covenant's volleyball squad beat Virginia Episcopal School by a tally of 2-0.

With the win, New Covenant upgrades its record to 7-5 on the year. The Gryphons travel to Eastern Mennonite (Harrisonburg, VA) to play the Flames in a bout on Thursday, September 28. The Flames go into the bout with a record of 5-1.

The Bishops now own a 1-2 record. They play next when they travel to Miller School of Albemarle for a bout on Tuesday, October 3.
