The Porter Ridge Pirates soccer team scored 3 points and limited the visiting Piedmont Panthers to 2 in the Pirates non-league victory on Friday.
Next, the Pirates face the Weddington Warriors (Matthews, NC) in a Southern Carolina 4A contest, on Wednesday, September 27. Porter Ridge will attempt to better on its 10-2 season record. The Warriors enter the contest with a 7-0 record after their 8-0 non-league win over Carmel Christian (Matthews, NC).
The Panthers now have a 8-2 record. They take the field next when they host Parkwood for a Rocky River 2A/3A contest on Tuesday, September 26. Piedmont will face a Wolf Pack team coming off a 2-2 league Monroe (Monroe, NC). The Wolf Pack record now stands at 3-7.
