In Friday's non-league battle, the host East Central Hornets volleyball team scored a 2-0 triumph over the New Hope Trojans.

The Hornets (14-10) will now prepare for their battle against George County (Lucedale, MS). The Rebels come into the Class 5 Region 4 battle with a 9-10 record. In their last battle, George County achieved victory over Pascagoula (Pascagoula, MS), 3-0, in a league battle.

Next, the Trojans clash with the Gulfport Admirals (Gulfport, MS) in a non-league battle, on Friday, September 22. New Hope will attempt to advance on its 15-14 season record. The Admirals come into the battle with a 20-4 record after their 3-0 league win over Harrison Central (Gulfport, MS).
