The Lytle Pirates topped the visiting Utopia Buffaloes volleyball team by a score of 3-1 in Friday's non-league test.

The Pirates now have a 14-17 record. They put it on the line next when they host Hondo for a 3A Region IV District 28 test on Tuesday, September 26. Lytle will confront a Owls team coming off a 3-0 league win over Natalia (Natalia, TX). The Owls record now stands at 15-16.

The Buffaloes (4-4) will now prepare for their test against Knippa (Knippa, TX). The Crushers enter the 1A Region IV District 30 test with a 0-8 record. In their last test, Knippa was knocked off by Medina (Medina, TX), 3-0, in a league test.
