The Making Waves Academy Marlins topped the visiting Oakland Military Institute Grizzlies volleyball team by a score of 3-1 in Friday's non-league test.

The Marlins now have a 7-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Holy Names for a Bay Counties - General test on Tuesday, September 26. Making Waves Academy will confront a Monarchs team coming off a 3-2 league loss to California School for the Deaf (Fremont, CA). The Monarchs record now stands at 6-10.

The Grizzlies (3-4) will now prepare for their test against Cristo Rey De La Salle (Oakland, CA). The Mustangs enter the non-league test with a 1-5 record.
