New Mexico High School Soccer - Clovis nudges Del Norte

The Clovis Wildcats (Clovis, NM) soccer nipped the host Del Norte Knights (Albuquerque, NM), 2-1 in Monday's non-league challenge.
The Wildcats now hold a 9-4 record. They play next when they travel to Carlsbad for a 5A District 4 challenge on Tuesday, September 30. Clovis will encounter a Cavemen/Cavegirls squad coming off a 4-0 non-league loss to Organ Mountain (Las Cruces, NM). The Cavemen/Cavegirls record now stands at 2-10.
With the loss, Del Norte moves to 6-5 on the year. The Knights host Bernalillo (Bernalillo, NM) to battle the Spartans in a 4A District 6 battle on Thursday, September 25. The Spartans enter the battle with a record of 7-5. Bernalillo lost 4-1 in their recent league battle against Hope Christian (Albuquerque, NM)
