In Monday's non-league outing, the host Wautoma Hornets soccer squad scored a tight 3-2 victory over the Tri-County Penguins.
The Hornets (2-6) will now prepare for their outing against Adams-Friendship (Adams, WI). The Green Devils go into the South Central test with a 6-3 record. In their last test, Adams-Friendship was tipped by Reedsburg (Reedsburg, WI), 6-1, in a non-league test.
The Penguins now have a 1-6 record. They take the field next when they travel to Amherst for a Central Wisconsin 8 test on Thursday, September 25. Tri-County will clash with a Falcons team coming off a 6-2 league win over Pacelli (Stevens Point, WI). The Falcons record now stands at 7-2.
