Nebraska High School Softball - Douglas County West Gretna East

In Monday's non-league match, the host Douglas County West Falcon softball team scored a tight 4-1 win over the Gretna East Griffins.

The Falcon (12-8) will now prepare for their match against Duchesne/Roncalli (Omaha, NE). The enter the non-league game with a 9-9 record. In their last game, Duchesne/Roncalli was routed by Wahoo (Wahoo, NE), 8-0, in a non-league game.

The Griffins now own a 14-10 record. They play next when they travel to Bennington for a B District 3 game on Tuesday, September 23. Gretna East will confront a Badgers team coming off a 12-1 non-league loss to Elkhorn (Elkhorn, NE). The Badgers record now stands at 8-8.
