Georgia High School Softball - Jefferson sneaks past Madison County

The Jefferson Dragons softball team scored 4 runs and held the host Madison County Red Raiders to 3 in the Dragons non-league win on Monday.
The Dragons now sport a 19-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Monroe Area for a 3A Region 8 challenge on Thursday, September 25. Jefferson will meet a Purple Hurricanes squad coming off a 17-0 league win over East Hall (Gainesville, GA). The Purple Hurricanes record now stands at 14-7.
The Red Raiders (9-13) will now prepare for their challenge against Eastside (Covington, GA). The Eagles go into the 4A Region 8 challenge with a 17-0 record. In their last challenge, Eastside held off Flowery Branch (Flowery Branch, GA), 18-0, in a league challenge.
