Illinois High School Volleyball - Bishop McNamara edged by Peotone

Peotone Blue Devils (Peotone, IL) backers were pleased Monday as they witnessed their volleyball team tip the host Bishop McNamara Fightin' Irish (Kankakee, IL), 2-1 in a non-league challenge.

The Blue Devils (10-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Manteno (Manteno, IL). The Panthers come into the Illinois Central Eight challenge with a 16-3 record. In their last challenge, Manteno edged St. Thomas More (Champaign, IL), 2-0, in a non-league test.

The Fightin' Irish now own a 4-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host Chicago Christian for a Chicagoland Christian test on Thursday, September 25. Bishop McNamara will face a Knights squad coming off a 2-0 league win over Chicago Hope Academy (Chicago, IL). The Knights record now stands at 14-5.
