Fans at Monday's non-league contest between the Manila Lions (Manila, AR) and the host Cave City Cavemen (Cave City, AR), observed Manila's volleyball team top Cave City by a count of 3-1.

The Lions (6-5) will now prepare for their contest against Harrisburg (Harrisburg, AR). The Hornets enter the 3A 3 contest with a 9-8 record. In their last contest, Harrisburg was knocked off by Harmony Grove (Benton, AR), 2-0, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Cavemen encounter the Bergman Panthers (Bergman, AR) in a 3A 2 battle, on Thursday, September 25. Cave City will attempt to improve on its 3-7 season record. The Panthers go into the battle with a 9-5 record after their 3-0 non-league loss to Berryville (Berryville, AR).
