In Monday's non-league challenge, the visiting Trumann Wildcats volleyball team scored a 3-1 victory over the Corning Bobcats.
The Wildcats (5-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Highland (Hardy, AR). The Rebels enter the 4A 3 test with a 5-10 record. In their last test, Highland was defeated by Salem (Salem, AR), 2-1, in a non-league test.
The Bobcats now own a 5-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host KIPP Delta for a 2A 4 test on Tuesday, September 23. Corning will meet a team coming off a 3-0 league loss to Palestine-Wheatley (Palestine, AR). The record now stands at 0-8.
