Ohio High School Volleyball - Monroe Central over Fort Frye

Fans at Monday's non-league contest between the Monroe Central Seminoles (Woodsfield, OH) and the visiting Fort Frye Cadets (Beverly, OH), observed Monroe Central's volleyball team top Fort Frye by a count of 2-0.

The Seminoles (8-4) will now prepare for their contest against Barnesville (Barnesville, OH). The Shamrocks go into the non-league battle with a 4-11 record. In their last battle, Barnesville dropped by Martins Ferry (Martins Ferry, OH), 3-1, in a league battle.

The Cadets now own a 7-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Point Pleasant for a non-league battle on Tuesday, September 23. Fort Frye will encounter a Big Blacks team coming off a 3-1 league loss to Warren (Vincent, OH). The Big Blacks record now stands at 9-8.
