Salem Wildcats (Salem, IL) boosters left the game thrilled Monday as they saw their volleyball squad achieve victory over the host Mt. Vernon Rams (Mt. Vernon, IL), 2-0 in a non-league test.

With the win, Salem improves its record to 12-6 on the season. The Wildcats travel to Wesclin (Trenton, IL) to encounter the Warriors in a non-league test on Tuesday, September 30. The Warriors go into the test with a record of 13-5.

The Rams now own a 4-10 record. They take the field next when they host Cahokia for a South Seven challenge on Wednesday, September 24. Mt. Vernon will meet a Comanches team coming off a 2-0 league loss to Centralia (Centralia, IL). The Comanches record now stands at 0-12.
