The Alburnett Pirates football squad scored 55 points and limited the host Highland Huskies to 14 in the Pirates league win on Friday.
The Pirates now possess a 5-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host North Cedar for a A District 5 match on Friday, September 30. Alburnett will clash with a Knights squad coming off a 48-0 non-league loss to Bellevue (Bellevue, IA). The Knights record now stands at 1-4.
The Huskies (0-5) will now prepare for their match against Wapello (Wapello, IA). The Indians enter the A District 5 match with a 2-3 record. In their last match, Wapello was crushed by Lisbon (Lisbon, IA), 46-6, in a league match.
