The Cumberland Pirates thwarted the host Arcola Purple Riders football team by a count of 38-28 in Friday's league outing.

With the win, Cumberland upgrades its record to 3-2 on the season. The Pirates host Villa Grove (Villa Grove, IL) to encounter the Blue Devils in a Lincoln Prairie outing on Friday, September 30. The Blue Devils go into the outing with a record of 3-2. Villa Grove won 42-0 in their recent league outing against Argenta-Oreana (Argenta, IL)

With the loss, Arcola moves to 2-3 on the season. The Purple riders travel to Tri-City/Sangamon Valley (Niantic, IL) to encounter the Storm in a Lincoln Prairie outing on Friday, September 30.
