Texas High School Football - Axtell felled by Cayuga

The Axtell Longhorns football team (Axtell, TX), was beaten 30-7 in Friday's league challenge with the host Cayuga Wildcats (Cayuga, TX)

The Wildcats (4-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Cross Roads (Malakoff, TX). The Bobcats come into the 2A-1 Region II District 7 challenge with a 3-1 record. In their last challenge, Cross Roads was beaten by Italy (Italy, TX), 42-6, in a league challenge.

The Longhorns now sport a 2-2 record. They take the field next when they host Kerens for a 2A-1 Region II District 7 challenge on Friday, September 30. Axtell will meet a Bobcats team coming off a 48-42 league win over Itasca (Itasca, TX). The Bobcats record now stands at 1-4.
