Virginia High School Football - Richlands drops to Bluefield

In Friday's non-league game, the Bluefield Beavers (Bluefield, WV) football team knocked off the host Richlands Blue Tornado (Richlands, VA), by a final score of 26-10.

The Beavers (1-4) will now prepare for their game against Independence (Coal City, WV). The Patriots come into the Coalfield AA game with a 5-0 record. In their last game, Independence toppled WestSide (Clear Fork, WV), 62-0, in a league game.

The Blue Tornado now hold a 1-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Ridgeview for a non-league game on Friday, September 30. Richlands will battle a team coming off a 40-14 league win over Lee (Jonesville, VA). The record now stands at 4-0.
