In Friday's non-league game, the Cascade Champions (Wartrace, TN) football team smashed the visiting Community Vikings/Viqueens (Unionville, TN), by a score of 46-0.
The Champions (3-3) will now prepare for their game against Forrest (Chapel Hill, TN). The Rockets come into the 2A Region 5 game with a 3-3 record. In their last game, Forrest was ripped by Marion County (Jasper, TN), 42-35, in a non-league game.
The Vikings/Viqueens now sport a 1-4 record. They take the field next when they host Sequatchie County for a 3A Region 4 game on Friday, September 30. Community will battle a Indians team coming off a 27-21 non-league loss to Bledsoe County (Pikeville, TN). The Indians record now stands at 4-2.
