Georgia High School Football - Clarke Central topped by Jefferson

September 23, 2022: Athens, GA 30605

The Clarke Central Gladiators football team (Athens, GA), was beaten 17-7 in Friday's league challenge with the visiting Jefferson Dragons (Jefferson, GA)

The Dragons (3-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Winder-Barrow (Winder, GA). The Bulldoggs come into the AAAAA Region 8 challenge with a 3-2 record. In their last challenge, Winder-Barrow was beaten by Loganville (Loganville, GA), 27-14, in a league challenge.

The Gladiators now sport a 1-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Flowery Branch for a AAAAA Region 8 challenge on Friday, September 30. Clarke Central will meet a Falcons team coming off a 34-14 league loss to Eastside (Covington, GA). The Falcons record now stands at 2-3.
